Research design: Secondary Migration

How do EU + Member States deal with secondary migration of asylum seekers? And can the Netherlands learn from this? This is the main research question of the Dutch Advisory Committee on Migration affairs in response to the request from State Secretary of Justice and Security, Mark Harbers, to advise on the approach to secondary migration flows of asylum seekers.

By secondary migration, the Advisory Committee means: the migration of an asylum seeker coming from: the country of arrival, or from a Member State that is responsible under the Dublin regulation for handling the asylum request.
